William E. Hereford, III, (Trip) is a Principal at Hereford Dooley Architects in Nashville, Tennessee. He started with the firm in 2006, and has over 20 years of architectural design experience. Originally from Pell City, Alabama, Trip earned his Master in Architecture from The Catholic School of America in 1999. Since early in his career he has made ongoing efforts to optimize processes, improve building performance, and pursue business innovations ultimately to create a better built environment. He is actively involved with many professional and not-for-profit organizations including the American Heart Association and Love Helps. Trip is currently serving as the president of the AIA Middle Tennessee Chapter and is a member of the Board of Visitors with his Alma Mater. Trip and his wife Amanda have a daughter, Margaret, and two chilled dogs, Jessie & Belle. He loves to play ice hockey when he can, and travels the country one state park at a time in his RV.
Tyler joined our firm as a project manager in the spring of 2023 with over eight years of healthcare experience. He attended undergraduate and graduate school at Southern Illinois University. In his free time he enjoys attending concerts, play kickball and is learning to be an expert gardener.
Lance is a native of nearby Clarksville, Tennessee and has worked for the firm since 1998. He graduated from Nashville State Technical Institute, and is a project assistant for Daniel’s team. His background at Hereford Dooley Architects is mainly in Ambulatory Surgery Center Design. He also serves as our unofficial in-house social coordinator. He is an extremely big sports fan, and a season ticket holder for the Nashville Predators. He is a proud grandfather and enjoys spending time with the grandkids, his fiancé, Penny, and his two yorkies. On the weekends, Lance likes to garden and work in his yard.
Dan was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina and attended Clemson University, graduating in 1992. After starting his architecture career in Oklahoma, he moved to Nashville in 2006 and has been with Hereford Dooley Architects as a Designer since 2014. Over the past year or so, Dan has acquired more of a Quality Assurance role at the firm, and he also helps in the scheduling of our Lunch and Learns. Dan enjoys doing a variety of things outdoors, creating board games and outdoor games with children, and catching up on fiction reading. He and his wife Kristen are mental health advocates in the Nashville area
Jeremy first started with Hereford Dooley Architects in 2003 and is from Frankfort, Kentucky. He attended the University of Kentucky. He has been with Hereford Dooley for over 13+ years, and previously served as our in-house bookkeeper for six years and before that as a project assistant. After a brief hiatus, Jeremy rejoined Hereford Dooley Architects in 2021. He loves good coffee and in his spare time enjoys exercising and spending time with his family.
Dylan is from Tucson, AZ and graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a Bachelor degree in Architecture. When growing up, Dylan knew he wanted to have a career in the built environment and eventually settled on architecture because he appreciated the ability to be more creative. Dylan joins the firm as a project assistant.
Jess is from Anguilla, Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in architecture. Jess moved to Nashville in the summer of 2021 after graduation. Jess was an athlete in college and played on the tennis team. Jess joins Daniel’s team as a project assistant.
Tom Dooley is a founding Principal of Hereford Dooley Architects. He opened the Nashville office of Lyman Davidson Dooley in 1994 and in 2014 parted ways with the firm to partner with Trip Hereford. Tom was born and raised in central Kentucky and holds his Master in Architecture from the University of Kentucky, where he received several honors and design awards. Tom has over 30 years of architecture experience, specifically in healthcare. He is a former participant of C12 and has been involved in many other ministry opportunities, including leading numerous mission trips to Africa and Nicaragua. Tom is father of three, and grandfather of four. He enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering for the church in his spare time. After a four-decade long career, Tom retired in May of 2022. He continues to serve on the Board of Directors and commits time and efforts toward the success of the firm.
Sara originally joined our firm in 2013 after receiving her Master's of Architecture from Georgia Tech. Once licensed, she pursued her dream of moving to New York City but eventually moved back to Nashville and found her way back home to Hereford Dooley Architects at the end of 2020. Sara rejoins our firm as a Project Manager with over seven years of experience. She is from Vidalia, Georgia and in her free time enjoys traveling, cooking, swimming and being involved in her church activities throughout Nashville.
Daniel Soliz, a native of Cleveland, Mississippi, graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Architectural Engineering Technology. He has been with Hereford Dooley since 2008. After 24 years in the field of architecture and 25 years of marriage, he firmly believes as Robert Brault, “The more side roads you stop to explore, the less likely that life will pass you by.” Currently, Daniel is a Project Manager at Hereford Dooley Architects. He fills his spare time traveling the side roads with his wife and two spaniel mixes and stopping occasionally to play the drums or cheer on the Preds, Raiders, and USM Eagles.
Bryan was born in nearby Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, and is a graduate of Auburn University with his Bachelor of Architecture. He served as a project coordinator at a firm for one year, and joined Hereford Dooley in 2017; he is now a Project Manager with the firm. While in college, Bryan studied abroad in Italy and Japan. He enjoys golfing in his free time, and eating good food all the time.
Marry has been with the firm since 2003 and serves as the head of the marketing, administrative, and HR departments at Hereford Dooley. From Enterprise, Alabama, Marry attended Auburn University and has an Environmental Design degree from the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction. She has over 15 years of experience in the AEC industry and enjoys the opportunities to grow and be creative in her job. “I love being a part of an organization that genuinely cares about giving and serving.” In her free time, she enjoys working on personal creative projects around the home, traveling, and exploring good eats with her family.
Ginny Luckie Farmer, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in journalism. She has been with Hereford Dooley since 2017 and was promoted to Director of Culture in 2021. She spends time between marketing, social, company culture and business development from our Birmingham location. She enjoys abstract painting, her rescue dog, Fitz, and spending as much time as she can in the outdoors with her husband.
Katherine is originally from Princeton, Kentucky and graduated from Western Kentucky University. She joins Hereford Dooley as a bookkeeper, after years of experience in healthcare auditing. Katherine is a mom of two college boys who enjoys exercising and traveling whenever she has the opportunity.
Andrew is a co-op student from The Catholic University of America. He graduated with is undergrad in August 2021 and has returned to earn his graduate degree in August of 2022. He continues to work for us part-time from Bethesda, MD and loves being outdoors, and watching hockey, baseball, and football.
Jack Wojcicki joined our team in September and graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in May 2022. He is from Chicago and enjoys pulling for the White Sox in his spare time (among other things). He knew from an early age he wanted to be an architect when he grew up. Jack joined Daniel’s team as a project assistant.
Michelle is originally from Chicago and graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor degree in Architecture. While in college, Michelle was a finalist and attended the AIAS’ 60th anniversary conference in 2017 where she got to meet Disney Imagineers. She joins our team as a project assistant.
Jim Campbell joined Hereford Dooley Architects in June of 2022 as a graduate from Mississippi State University with one year of previous work experience. In college, he was a member of the marching band and played the clarinet. He enjoys reading, watching movies and spending time with friends and family. We are excited to have him join our team.
Spencer Herring joined our team in June of 2023 as a graduate of Auburn University. He is from Rome, GA and grew up with parents in the healthcare industry. Growing up, he found interest in Legos and buildable toys that eventually turned into a love for architecture. In his free time, he loves to play video games, exercise and enjoy the outdoors. Spencer joined Stacy’s team as a project assistant.
