Senior Healthcare Project Manager
HD Architects is seeking a Senior Healthcare Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to support the firm’s strategic marketing and business plan in the healthcare sector. We are seeking an individual to play a lead role in project design/delivery, staff development, business development and client relations while maintaining and raising the quality standards inherent in the firm’s healthcare practice.

The candidate must have:
10+ years of professional experience, 5+ years of experience in a Lead Designer/Project Management role
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
Architectural License preferred, but not required
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit required
SpecLink experience is desirable
Skills, Knowledge and Requirements:
Demonstrate senior level planning, programming & design - originate and develop creative design concepts and design documents in all phases; ability to examine and solve complex project issues
Experience in the design of healthcare facilities and understanding of clinical processes – demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of healthcare program requirements and standards, and codes impacting the design of healthcare projects
Assist project team in gaining knowledge on current and upcoming healthcare design, products/materials/systems, methods, and technology trends
Possess exceptional communication skills - interact professionally, comfortably and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Possess exceptional organizational skills – be self-disciplined and prioritize effectively, managing day-to-day activities as well as big picture goals
Serve as the main contact with client groups as it relates to issues pertaining to project management and design clarification in order to achieve project goals; prepare client presentations and present design concepts, drawings, models, etc. in order to lead clients through the integrated design process
Mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff - collaborate and energize the design team to effectively manage project goals and develop solutions to design problems; foster an environment of mutual respect and trust among team members
Possess knowledge and have past experience in contract negotiation and management - participate in project reviews regarding project costs, budgets and adherence to schedule
Collaborate with project teams to ensure design intent and conformance to quality assurance, quality control and best practice standards
Participate in professional development reviews and contribute to “Lessons Learned” sessions
Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects
Support the marketing and business development activities of the office as needed
Enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment with shifting deadlines and priorities, and assist with additional duties as necessary
Desire to continually educate yourself and possess interest and/or engagement in industry groups to develop specialized knowledge
Possess interest and be willing to engage in industry groups in an effort to contribute to business development for the firm
Be willing and able to travel within the U.S. - travel for project assignments will be required
